SAFE SLEEPING | HELPFUL HINTS

-
Never add an additional mattress in a portable cot. This can create suffocation hazards if theinfant rolls into the side.
-
Always use a firm mattress. Infants need a firm base, so they don’t get exposed to “bad air”.
-
Do not add pillows, soft toys, or bumpers to infant sleep environments. These products canblock the infants’ airways.
-
Do not use an inclined sleep surface. Inclined sleep surfaces can result in blocked airwayscreating a chin to chest hazard.
-
Infants sleep unsupervised in cots. Make sure cots do not have hazards that reduce goodair.
