HOME SAFETY | HELPFUL HINTS

  1. Secure any unstable furniture to the wall or floor.

  2. Button batteries look like sweets to a toddler who will put them in their mouth. Make sure that there are no button batteries in places a toddler can get to.

  3. Always test water temperature before putting the child in. Make sure hot water is set to below 50 C.

  4. Separate children’s play areas away from driveway and the road. Always check the area around the car is clear before moving it.

  5. Get down on hands and knees to see what the toddler sees. Remove any hazards that yousee.

  6. Avoid water expanding balls, especially ones used to hydrate plants. If swallowed by aninfant, they can be a serious risk. Check all indoor plants to make sure there are not accessible to toddlers.
