Recent media reports have made mention of unsafe portacots. This is quite alarmist and is causing unnecessary concern amongst parents about the safety of portacots.

Portacots provide a safe temporary sleeping environment!

The recent media reports relate to product assessments undertaken earlier this year and products currently on sale have not been recalled. If the products had been classified as unsafe the Australian Regulator, the ACCC, would have removed them from sale.SAFETY

TIPS ABOUT PORTACOTS

 Use products correctly and always follow manufacturer’s instructions

 NEVER use an additional mattress

 Follow Red Nose “safe sleeping” guidelines

 NEVER use broken portacots

 Read warning labels on portacots
